About CC@B (Capacitation Centre Brasília, Brazil)

Capacitation Centre Brasília, Brazil (CC@B) was established in 2001, by means of an agreement between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Brazilian Government.

In June 2013, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was signed in order to host CC@B at the Corporate University of the Central Bank of Brazil (UniBC). The center aims to provide training courses in economics oriented to policy making and targeted to public officials from Latin American countries. Center's operation is performed jointly with the IMF Institute for Capacity Development (ICD).

The curriculum of the courses is constantly upgrading in response to society's demands, which reflect the changing priorities of economic policy and the evolution of thought in economics profession. The content also evolves to meet the needs for updating and recycling servers at the evolution of techniques and methodologies of economic analysis.

Courses are offered in Spanish or English, and the eligible countries are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela. Regional training is complemented with online courses offered by the IMF.

The CC@B team is confident that the joint effort of the ICD and UniBC in coordinating the delivery of scheduled courses, combined with the commitment and enthusiasm of the courses participants, will result in constant effective capacity development and region’s countries integration.
